Advocacy

NPCA is Advocating for YOU!

2024 is a very important year for the Peace Corps. Countries where Peace Corps Volunteers are now serving (almost 60) have returned to pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, many other countries want to re-establish Peace Corps programs. The number of serving volunteers (approximately 2,400) are still below the numbers of 2020, but more volunteers are on the way.

Meanwhile, 2024 will mark the return of the first 27-month volunteers since the pandemic, beginning later this year.

For NPCA, 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of our National Days of Advocacy, which included a Capitol Hill Day on March 7, 2024.

Use this link to register your intentions to organize a Days of Advocacy solidarity activity anytime during March or April.

And…Write to your members of Congress! Visit our action center now. It takes less than five minutes to reach out and urge your elected representatives to support the Peace Corps.
