Increased Volunteer Benefits
Advocating for legislation and policies that help improve current and returned Volunteers’ experiences
In the past, efforts to enhance non-competitive eligibility (NCE) status for Federal employment have fallen short. The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program has recently become the target of budget hawks. And the common-sense Respect for Peace Corps Volunteers Act, which would allow Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and former Peace Corps staff to use the Peace Corps logo on death notices and tombstones, has yet to pass.
NPCA Advocacy
NPCA provides resources for the Peace Corps Community to come together, shape the public debate on important Peace Corps issues,
and ensure that we have a loud and collective voice.
