Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have taken their commitment to service into politics across the country — from city councils to the governor’s mansion, from state legislatures to the U.S. House of Representatives. Join us for a conversation about how service translates to public office.
Special guests: Samra Brouk (left), who served as a Volunteer in Guatemala 2009–11 and was elected to the New York State Senate in November; and Emily Cherniack, a national service alum who founded and serves as executive director of New Politics Academy — which seeks to recruit service alums to run for political office.
