Peace Corps’ Returned Volunteer Services is hosting free day-long career events for RPCVs wherever Peace Corps has a Regional Recruitment Office. Practice telling your professional Peace Corps story to a variety of audiences, connect with other returned Volunteers, explore ways to get involved in Peace Corps activities, and chat with local employers in the public, private, and nonprofit sector at a career fair.

Peace Corps also has information about job resources for RPCVs on its website.  Peace Corps manages a Google Group called RPCV Network, a daily listserv of employment and housing opportunities, exclusively for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. You must have COS’d to be approved.

Membership / Development Assistant

The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) is looking for a part time Membership and Development Assistant to work with the Membership Manager and Director of Development to enhance NPCA’s membership offerings and to assist in the operations of the Development department.

The tasks of this position include, but are not limited to; communications with individual members and member groups, membership record updates, prospect research, mailings, event logistics and membership benefits research.

We are looking for the successful candidate to possess the following skills/characteristics:

  • Be able to work well in a team environment, but also able to take the initiative to work individually with limited supervision.
  • Have a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize within those tasks.
  • Some office experience is required with a preference given for operations and/or accounting experience.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with database entries is required. Database reporting experience a plus.
  • High school completion required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preference will be given to returned Peace Corps volunteers and diaspora from the developing world.
  • Sense of humor

This will be a part time position (approximately 24 hours per week) and therefore will provide no benefits. We would prefer a three day per week schedule and will work with the successful candidate on the specific days worked.
