National Peace Corps Association (NPCA), based in Washington, D.C., is a mission-driven social impact organization that supports a united and vibrant Peace Corps community. With a staff of 12 and varying numbers of consultants and interns, this private, non-profit organization currently maintains an online searchable database of more than 155,000 member accounts and a network of approximately 180+ affiliate groups. To date, nearly 250,000 individuals share the Peace Corps experience, and NPCA is in the process of gathering their information and anticipate having upwards of 200,000 member accounts.
Like many similar organizations, NPCA depends on private contributions to support our work. Therefore, donor management and fundraising initiatives play an increasingly central role. In addition, NPCA also receives revenue from advertising sales, an online store, and cause-marketing agreements with partner organizations. Prior to travel restrictions, we also ran a Next Step Travel program, which may resume in the future. We also hold an annual conference and produce and distribute a quarterly publication, and recruit skills-based volunteers and consultants from our database.
In these challenging times, it is imperative that the entire Peace Corps community take action to bring about needed social change. NPCA seeks to enhance our organizational capacity to connect, inform, and engage our extensive and diverse community on local, national, and global issues by expanding our communications reach.
We also advocate on key Peace Corps activities that seek to inform legislators on policy issues of interest to the membership. These activities include mobilizing the membership to contact their legislative representatives to express views on a range of issues.
Vendors interested in partnering with National Peace Corps Association should submit completed proposals to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 25, 2020. Proposals should include a detailed scope of work addressing the needs outlined in the RFP, a detailed explanation of costs, support plan information, and a timeline for implementation.
