The Community Engagement Associate is responsible for administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to the team leader in implementing NPCA’s “Stand Up for Responsible Global Leadership” initiative, a national grassroots social action campaign. The associate participates in all activities, including program planning, monitoring and evaluation; affiliate group capacity building; multimedia communications; administrative support; and events coordination.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the preparation of the program’s annual work plan, including setting targets and determining resource requirements to achieve them
Develop a survey tool to identify the priority global social issue(s) of concern to the Peace Corps community in coordination with the team leader and research consultant
Track campaign progress toward goals and assist in the preparation of periodic progress reports
Monitor budget execution
Build collaborative relationships with partner organizations, affiliate group leaders, and advocacy coordinators around the country
Generate content for multimedia distribution and website updates
Plan and develop affiliate group capacity-building training webinars, seminars, and workshops
Coordinate events, including workshops, speakers, and group leader forums at NPCA's annual conference, Peace Corps Connect, and with affiliate groups
Provide logistical and administrative support for the program, including setting up remote conferencing services, making appointments, writing correspondence, and maintaining database, as well as general office operations
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three years of experience, of which one year should include community outreach and mobilization responsibilities
Experience in administration, logistics planning, event coordination, and office support
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
Highly attentive to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated, resourceful, and creative, thriving on the opportunity to contribute to the Peace Corps community
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
Returned Peace Corps Volunteer preferred
