Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is hiring! If you’d like to join our team as our Administrative/Marketing Assistant, and enjoy supporting education and stewardship in our state parks this is the job for you.
The perfect candidate is a team player, can work up to 20 hours per week during training and full time thereafter. Some weekend days are required for special events. At least an AA degree is required, BA preferred. Prior office administrative experience required. Nonprofit experience a plus. Must be proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and CRM/database management. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus as well as a good eye for graphic design. Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Must be enthusiastic about helping with special events logistics. The perfect candidate must be dependable, organized, accurate, be able to multi-task, pay attention to details, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate needs to be able to lift up to 60 lbs, have fine hand motor skills, and will be able to sit at a desk and use a computer for hours at a time. Bilingual English/Spanish speaker a plus.
Salary range is $14.50 to $18 per hour. Medical stipend available to cover existing medical insurance after 3 month introductory period. Paid time off may be used after introductory period. Staff development, reimbursement for work-related mileage, and employee contribution to 403 (b) available.
