Over the past three months, NPCA advocates have seen success with the publication of a dozen op eds or letters-to-the-editor around the country. These pieces, urging support for a stronger and better Peace Corps, appeared in large and small newspapers, with a combined circulation of nearly 700,000 readers.
You can be part of this effort! Join us on the evening of Tuesday, November 28th for a session on how to successfully submit a letter-to-the-editor. Come prepared with a local newspaper identified, and a recently published article that can serve as your “hook” through which you can urge support for the Peace Corps. After some brief instructions, we will allow time so all participants can write their letters-to-the-editor during this session, and send their submissions on that night.
