What does it sound like in your echo chamber? A surprising aspect of today’s epidemic of polarization is driven by how we talk with like-minded people about those who hold different views.
Join this interactive workshop to
- become more aware of your "inner polarizer"
- learn to critique without demonizing, dismissing or stereotyping large groups of people
- gain strategies for intervening in social conversations with like-minded people when those conversations veer into unflattering statements about those who hold other views
This workshop is not about changing your mind or your convictions on an issue - it is simply to help you approach those who think differently than you do with curiosity and appreciation. In this way we can move forward with stronger solutions to climate change and better conversations.
