The RPCVs Alliance for Ukraine and National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) are teaming up for a zoom training on Thursday, February 9th on how to be successful in getting an opinion piece (op-ed) published in a local/regional newspaper.
This training will be timely. February 24th will mark the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. March 1st is the 62nd anniversary of the presidential executive order to establish the Peace Corps. It also marks the beginning of NPCA’s 19th annual National Days of Advocacy in Support of the Peace Corps.
At this zoom training you will learn the basic steps on writing and submitting an op-ed. You will meet and hear from fellow RPCVs who will share their success stories. And, we will enter breakout rooms so participants can focus in on further op ed discussion and strategies for submitting an upcoming opinion piece on either on Ukraine or the Peace Corps.
