NPCA welcomes Affiliate Group leaders to these weekly Affiliate Group "Leaders Lunch" gatherings, which are an open and informal channel for increased communication and coordination of our efforts.
These discussions are fairly informal as they are meant to share ideas and opportunities for increased coordination between groups. NPCA staff members will be on hand to listen in and facilitate the discussion. We hope that at least one member of each group's leadership team will be able to join the discussion each week.
During July 2021, we'll include a short affiliate group spotlight to spark discussion on how to engage your members and foster inter-group collaboration. This week's spotlight: Global Allies Program: Partners Ending Poverty with RESULTS.
Looking for ways to make an impact on global poverty issues? Join us for the next Affiliate Group Leaders Lunch, on July 16 where we will introduce Global Allies Program: Partners Ending Poverty with RESULTS.
If you are passionate about the country that you’ve served in and the work you’ve done as a Peace Corps Volunteer in global health, education, and/or economic development, the Global Allies Program: Partners Ending Poverty with RESULTS (GAP for short) will provide you the advocacy skills and connections to continue to make a difference.
GAP aims to train and engage RPCVs in advocacy that will have impact and to connect RPCVs to like-minded and experienced advocates in the RESULTS grassroots network. We’d also like to work with RPCVs to make connections to local diaspora communities to strengthen our influence on issues that matter to their home countries.
This spotlight presentation will share more about past RESULTS actions on global poverty, the ways in which RPVCs in the RESULTS network have moved members of congress to action, and our current global poverty issue of focus, vaccine equity.
