Join us for Effective Advocacy Tools and Practices, a 1-hour advocacy training provided by the Global Allies Program: Partners Ending Poverty with RESULTS. At this training you will learn what the most effective advocacy tactics are to influence their members of Congress on issues affecting your country of service. You will also practice valuable tools for speaking effectively and writing powerfully.
Topics of this session will include the following:
- Learn about various grassroots advocacy actions we do and why we do it.
- Learn about issues of poverty affecting your country of service and where to find additional resources.
- Set an advocacy goal - whether that’s to find out who their representatives in DC are, make a plan to reach out to their foreign policy aide about relevant bills affecting global health, nutrition, and or education, or simply just committing to learn more.
- Discover how to continue developing your skills and impact the issues you care about affecting your country of services.
