The Peace Corps Community for Refugees formed in 2016 in response to the greatest refugee crisis of our time, in the belief that RPCVs could make a positive difference. Since then, we have formed partnerships with national refugee resettlement agencies that welcome RPCVs for direct support, mounted strong public media campaigns advocating for humane policies toward refugees and asylum seekers, and spearheaded a program in conjunction with NPCA for RPCVs to volunteers in Greek refugee camps.

With a small team of dedicated volunteers, we have helped connect RPCVs around the nation who feel passionately about these issues. We have highlighted their own refugee support efforts on our website and social media, as well as the accomplishments of refugees themselves. We have advocated on behalf of asylum seekers and outlined how RPCVs can help.
To improve our outreach, we need a professional website/social media manager. What this will mean is more regular and updated postings on our website and social media applications, increased connections to other RPCVs and affiliates, and more support for the choice of ways to help refugees and asylum seekers.

NPCA invests 85 percent of the donation directly to Peace Corps Community for Refugees and 15 percent where needed most to support our overall mission.
