Recommended Groups Supporting Relief Efforts in Maui

We at NPCA express our heartfelt appreciation to the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Hawai’i for their exceptional dedication in supporting the victims of the recent fire in Maui. Their willingness to step forward during times of crisis exemplifies the core principles of empathy and service that the Peace Corps embodies. Mahalo for being a shining example of unity and assistance in the face of adversity. We have received a list of recommended organizations supporting relief efforts from RPCVs in Hawai’i where you can send contributions if you wish.

 

Here is a list of groups recommended by the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Hawai'i that have Maui Relief efforts.
 
 

The Maui Strong Fund will be used to support Maui communities affected by recent fires, including response and recovery efforts.

Donations can be made on their website.

Aloha United Way has created the Maui Relief Fund that will go directly to efforts supporting victims of the fires. You can donate website.

The Red Cross is working around-the-clock to offer aid to wildfire victims.

They’re asking for your monetary donations and for volunteers.

Hawaii Salvation Army is providing meals for thousands displaced in Maui emergency shelters.

They’re asking for monetary donations and large volume meal donations from restaurants and certified kitchens. All money donated for disaster relief will go to disaster operations.

RPCVs who are Rotarians

RPCVS who are Rotary members are  welcome to support the recovery efforts.  The 53 Rotary clubs in Rotary District 5000 (Hawaii)  have already taken the lead by collecting donations at their club meetings and collecting needed supplies at collection points. Donations can be made here: Rotary District 500 Foundation/Maui Relief Fund
