Global House Parties 2012
| House Parties Registered So Far |
Goal |
| 95 | 100 |
Returned Volunteers, current Volunteers, parents of Peace Corps Volunteers, current and former Peace Corps staff and the entire Peace Corps community are invited to host Global House Parties on or around September 22, 2012.
Part of our Global House Parties effort will be to support the “Find the 250k” campaign. What would it be like if all of the voices of the Peace Corps volunteers and staff were counted? The National Peace Corps Association hopes to find out. By hosting a Global House Party and meeting new friends and neighbors, you will be a part of this effort! We will ask everyone to sign in to the parties and we will collect the names of attendees. It’s that simple!
Since this is the 51st year of the Peace Corps, we want to raise funds that will help us continue strengthening the legacy of the Peace Corps. That’s why we are asking everyone who hosts or attends a Global House Party to donate $10 to our Find the 250k Campaign fund. Whether you can give $10 or $100, it will really help the National Peace Corps Association to find each and every person who served or worked with the Peace Corps.
Donate to Find the 250k
Will you help us to reach our goal of $20,000 by September 30, 2012 by donating now? Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Photos
Last year, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) all over the world organized huge parties or just celebrated with a small group of close friends. Large or small, elaborate or simple, NPCA wants all current and returned Peace Corps Volunteers to have a gathering in 2012 that is meaningful to them. Party organizers can serve food from a host country, play songs heard during service, and even wear clothes from a country of service to mark the occasion.
Remember to take pictures at your party! You can upload your photos to share with other guests and friends, as well as to see photos from other parties, on our Flickr site.
See last year’s Global House Party photos here with the location details and Peace Corps countries represented!
Delicious decorated Global House Party cakes are pictured on the NPCA Facebook page. Too beautiful to eat!Have questions? Email us!
