Wendy Lee served as a Small Enterprise Development volunteer in Peace Corps Cameroon from 2008-2010. She represented a new generation of Peace Corps volunteers who embrace new media during their service. Her favorite story is the fact her Peace Corps house didn’t have running water, but has the Internet. Wendy was the founder of the Books for Cameroon project. In order to raise over $10,000, Wendy utilized social media tools to create awareness for the project. The process led her to discover the power of social media not only has a fundraising tool, but also as a new medium to achieve various goals of the Peace Corps.

Wendy earned her B.S.B.A. in finance and economics from Saint Louis University. Recently, she received a Master of Public Administration degree from the international dual degree program between London School of Economics and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She aims to represent the interest of Gen Y Peace Corps Volunteers during her service to the NPCA Board.
