Sharon was a marketing manager for many years in the food, fragrance, and beverage industries. That background served her well in Peace Corps Morocco, where she served in 2006-2008 as a Small Business Development volunteer, helping artisans by conducting trainings, building web sites and creating marketing materials. In the Philippines she developed an overseas marketing plan for Habitat for Humanity Philippines. In Armenia, she worked with artisans again as a marketing consultant for Homeland Handicrafts and then as a public relations consultant for Millennium Challenge Account-Armenia. She has also been an active volunteer for many years, with alumni organizations, Make-a-Wish, Junior Achievement and other organizations. She is currently based in the New York area.
