Wanted: State/Regional Advocacy Coordinators
By Jonathan Pearson on Thursday, October 24th, 2013
Over the past 18 months, the National Peace Corps Association’s advocacy program has gotten a big boost from a dedicated group of volunteer leaders who are serving as state or regional advocacy coordinators.
Currently twenty-three advocacy coordinators are providing tremendous grassroots assistance. Many were actively involved in our recent August/September district meeting initiative. And, they will be gearing up to mobilize our community as we prepare for our tenth annual National Day of Action, planned for February 27, 2013.
Watch the slideshow above to meet just some of our great advocacy leaders. Check out the list below to see where we currently have coverage.
If you live in a state or region where we don’t have an advocacy coordinator, check out our description of the role and its responsibilities. Then, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping out.
States/Regions Where We Currently Have NPCA Advocacy Coordinators:
California (Los Angeles, San Diego)
Missouri (St. Louis)
New York (New York City)
Virginia (Northern Virginia)
Wisconsin (Madison, Milwaukee)
