Serving Volunteer Advisory Council – November Town Hall Meeting
By Erica Burman on Monday, November 5th, 2012
Have you heard about the National Peace Corps Association’s Serving Volunteer Advisory Council (SVAC)?
SVAC is made up of current Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) (and even some Peace Corps Response Volunteers!) that gather feedback from current Volunteers in the field to better inform the work of the National Peace Corps Association and to find ways to better serve Volunteers during, and especially after their service. SVAC members work in varied areas to cover all aspects of the Peace Corps work experience, from field training to global/regional initiatives, to leadership and mentoring, to partnerships and resources.
Working with SVAC can be a great way to broaden leadership skills, meet and collaborate with other Volunteers from around the world, and develop connections with the Returned Volunteer community.
Interested in getting involved and learning more about SVAC? Join the next Town Hall meeting on Monday, November 19 at 9 AM EST. Register for the call at t.pcv.me. And if you can’t make the call but want to learn more about SVAC, visit pcv.me.
