Day of Action Less Than Two Weeks Away
By Jonathan Pearson on Friday, February 11th, 2011
Capitol Hill volunteers are still needed as we move closer to NPCA’s 50th anniversary edition of the National Day of Action.
For the seventh consecutive year, supporters of the Peace Corps will be participating the Day of Action, scheduled this year for Thursday, March 3rd.
We will be scheduling dozens of meetings with congressional offices on the 3rd, and visiting every office with information on Day of Action issues. If you can help us on the Hill, contact us at advocacy@peacecorpsconnect.org.
As this activity is happening on Capitol Hill, your phone calls, emails, and faxes will demonstrate the depth of support for the Peace Corps.
Check out the two minute video about the Day of Action. Please post and share this video to help spread the word as we move toward March 3rd. We also have some state resources now posted. You can learn more and register to help by visiting www.peacecorpsconnect.org/advocacy/dayofaction
