Petition Says Education is Key to Development
By Jonathan Pearson on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010
There are currently 72 million children worldwide who do not have access to basic education. President Obama’s recently released Global Development Strategy does not include education as a development priority. The Global Campaign for Education (GCE) believes promoting quality basic education is a necessary step for increasing global development.
The United States chapter of GCE is promoting a petition to President Obama requesting the inclusion of education as a development priority in his Global Development Strategy.
To support international development through education, sign the petition here.
