Share Your Peace Corps Experience to Support Education for All

By Erica Burman on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

As the NPCA continues to advocate for education for all, returned Peace Corps volunteers have a special opportunity to add their voices to the international effort to achieve universal basic education.

We invite all returned Peace Corps volunteers and former Peace Corps staff to share their experiences by signing NPCA’s petition to thank Congresswoman Nita Lowey for her leadership on the Education for All Act of 2010. Follow this link to sign the petition and leave your comments.

Peace Corps volunteers have first-hand knowledge of the important positive impact education has on the lives of people around the world. Sharing those experiences in the Peace Corps, whether as educators or otherwise, can deliver a powerful message to the United States about the importance of taking a leading role in the effort to provide all people around the world with quality basic education.

If you have not done so already, please also take action with your Representative and ask him/her to co-sponsor the Education for All Act of 2010. And stay connected by joining our Education for All Advocates group on Connected Peace Corps.
