Peace Corps Friends of Iran Book List

By Erin Madsen on Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Serving in the Peace Corps provides one a perspective of a country that comes only from living with the people and speaking their language. Hundreds of young volunteers served in Iran during the 1960s and 1970s, bringing home their impressions of Iran and its people.

One of NPCA’s country of service member groups, the Peace Corps Friends of Iran, recently used social networking to assemble a list of book titles that would provide a good introduction to the Iranian people and their culture.

You can access the list in the Resource Collections and Virtual Libraries section of the NPCA Global Education resource pages. For more information about the Peace Corps Friends of Iran, visit their group page on our Ning social network.
